Frequently asked questions

These are the questions we get asked most often before a booking — about surveys, pricing, moving day and what happens when something goes wrong. If your question is about a particular kind of move, the service pages have their own answers. If it is not here at all, send us a message and ask.

Booking and surveys

How do I get a quote?

Message us on WhatsApp or call, and tell us roughly what is moving and from where to where. We will arrange a survey, and the price is agreed after that.

Is the survey free?

Yes. We come to you, or you walk us through the place on a video call — both are free and neither commits you to anything.

Why do you need a survey at all?

Because a quote given over the phone is a guess. Two flats of the same size can differ by half a truckload, and the difference decides the crew size and the vehicle. The survey is what lets us agree a price that does not change later.

How far in advance should I book?

A week is comfortable. Month-end, the last days before a lease expires, and weekends are the busiest, so book earlier if your date is fixed.

Can you move at short notice?

Sometimes, same day, depending on what is already booked. Call rather than message if the move is today or tomorrow.

Pricing and payment

Why is there no price list on the website?

Because a published price would be wrong for most jobs. A studio with an empty kitchen and a four-bedroom villa with full packing are not comparable, and a price table would mean either overcharging small moves or re-quoting large ones on the day. We price each job after seeing it.

Can the price change after we agree it?

Only if the job changes — more items than we surveyed, a different address, or packing added after the fact. If what we surveyed is what we move, the price we agreed is the price you pay.

When do I pay?

After the work is finished, not in advance.

What if I cancel?

There is no cancellation charge. Tell us as early as you can so the slot goes to someone else.

What makes one move cost more than another?

Volume first, then access — a working service lift against stairs or a long carry makes a real difference. After that: how much packing you want, whether furniture needs dismantling and reassembling, the distance, and whether the date is a busy one.

On moving day

Do I need to be there?

Someone should be, at both ends — to let the crew in, to say what stays, and to say where furniture goes in the new place. It does not have to be you.

How long does a move take?

Most apartment moves are a single day. A villa with full packing is usually two days: packing on the first, moving on the second. We will tell you which yours is after the survey.

Do you dismantle and reassemble furniture?

Yes — beds, wardrobes, dining tables and office furniture. Screws and fittings are bagged and taped to the frame so nothing is lost between the two addresses.

Can you disconnect the washing machine and fridge?

Yes. We disconnect them, secure them for transport and set them back in place at the new address. Fridges should be emptied and defrosted the night before.

Do you take the boxes away afterwards?

Yes. Empty cartons and wrapping go back with the crew.

Can you move in the evening?

Yes, and for offices it is often the better option — the business is working again the next morning.

If something goes wrong

What happens if an item is damaged?

If the damage was caused by our handling, we take responsibility for it. Tell the crew on the day rather than a week later, so we can see what happened.

Is the move insured?

Insurance is available on request. Ask before the booking is confirmed, not after the move.

Who is actually doing my move?

Our own crew, on our own trucks. We do not pass work to subcontractors, which is also why the team that packs is the team that unpacks.

Where we work

Which emirates do you cover?

Sharjah, Dubai, Ajman and Abu Dhabi. We are based in Abu Shagara, Sharjah, so Sharjah and the Sharjah–Dubai route are our busiest.

Do you move between emirates?

Yes — Sharjah to Dubai and Sharjah to Ajman are routine for us. Tell us both addresses at the survey so we plan the route and timing properly.

Do you do storage?

Yes, short and long term, which is the usual answer when your lease ends before the new place is ready. See our storage services.

Still have a question?

Send it to us on WhatsApp. If it is about your own move, describe the job and we will tell you what it involves.
