HOW IT WORKS

How Your Home Move Works — Step by Step

Share Your Moving Details

Message us on WhatsApp with your current location, new address, and home size. Photos of large furniture help us plan better — or request a free survey and we’ll assess everything in person.

Receive Your Quote

Based on your details or survey, you’ll get a clear price covering the agreed scope of your move. If nothing changes, neither does the price.

Confirm Your Moving Date

Pick the day and time that suits you. We confirm the schedule in advance, so there’s no confusion on moving day.

We Pack, Load, and Move

Our crew arrives as scheduled with all materials, packs your home room by room, loads everything securely, and transports it to your new address.

Setup and Handover

We reassemble your furniture, place boxes in the right rooms, and take away the packing waste. You check everything — and just like that, you’re home.

The most accurate way to know your cost is a free survey — we assess your home and prepare a quote based on the actual work involved, not guesswork.

Moving Yourself vs Hiring Professional Movers

Some people consider handling their move themselves — renting a truck, buying boxes, and asking friends to help. It can work for a few items. For a full home, here’s an honest comparison of what each option involves.

What’s Involved Moving Yourself Hiring Alsatee Movers
Packing materials You buy boxes, wrap, and tape separately All materials included
Heavy lifting You and whoever can help that day Trained crew with proper equipment
Truck You rent, drive, and return it Right-sized covered truck included
Furniture assembly Your own tools and time Dismantling and reassembly included
Damage risk On you — no cover if something breaks Careful handling by an insured company
Time needed Usually a full weekend or more Typically completed in a day
Total effort Planning, lifting, driving, setup — all you Share your details, we handle the rest

For a single small item, DIY can make sense. For a full home move, the maths usually favors professionals — in time, effort, and peace of mind.

Coverage

Home Moving Across Dubai — Every Community Covered

Wherever you live in Dubai, our team knows the area — and what moving there actually involves.

SHARJAH DUBAI ABU DHABI AJMAN
Serving Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi & Ajman — with regular inter-emirate moves

High-Rise Communities

Dubai Marina, JLT, Business Bay, Downtown Dubai, Al Nahda — tower moves usually mean elevator bookings, building approvals, and timing around service-lift hours. We know these requirements well.

Family Neighbourhoods

Mirdif, Al Barsha, Al Qusais, Deira, Bur Dubai — larger apartments and more household items mean bigger crews and careful room-by-room labeling. That’s our standard approach here.

Villa Communities

Arabian Ranches, Palm Jumeirah, JVC, Silicon Oasis, Springs — villa moves involve gardens, multiple floors, and heavier furniture, so we plan these with a site survey first.

We cover all other Dubai communities too — see our movers in Dubai page for full coverage. Moving to or from another emirate? We handle those routes regularly, including Sharjah to Dubai — details on our movers in Sharjah page.

Trust

Why Dubai Residents Trust Alsatee Movers

A Licensed and Insured Company

We’re a registered UAE moving company — not a random crew with a rented truck. Your belongings are handled under a real business with real accountability.

You Talk to the Same Team

From your first WhatsApp message to the last box placed, you deal with one team — no call centers, no “that’s another department.”

We’re Honest About What We Can Do

If a date isn’t available or an item needs special handling, we tell you before booking — not on moving day.

Your Home Is Protected Too

Doorways, corners, elevators, and flooring at both addresses are covered and protected during the move.

We’re Still Here After the Move

A question the next day? A box you can’t find? Message us — our responsibility doesn’t end when the truck leaves.

FAQ

Home Moving in Dubai — Your Questions Answered

What is a free moving survey and how does it work?

Our team visits your home before moving day, looks at your furniture, rooms, and building access, and prepares an exact quote based on what we see. The visit is short — depending on your home’s size — costs nothing, and you’re not obligated to book afterwards.

How is a villa move different from an apartment move?

Villas involve multiple floors, heavier furniture, garden items, and usually more packing volume — so they need a bigger crew and more time. Apartments involve building permits, elevator bookings, and corridor access instead. We plan each type differently, which is why a survey helps.

Do I need a permit to move out of my building in Dubai?

Many Dubai buildings — especially towers — require a move-in or move-out permit (NOC) from building management. Residents usually arrange this through the management office or building app a few days ahead. If you’re unsure about your building, ask us and we’ll guide you.

What items will you not move?

We don’t transport gas cylinders, flammable liquids, or hazardous materials. Cash, jewelry, and important documents should stay with you personally. Plants can be tricky in summer heat — mention them when booking and we’ll advise what’s possible.

Can you move my home in the evening or at night?

Often, yes — some buildings only allow moves during set hours, while villa communities are more flexible. Tell us your preferred timing and building rules, and we’ll confirm what’s workable for your date.

How long does a home move take in Dubai?

A studio or 1BHK usually takes a few hours. A 2–3BHK can take most of the day, and villas sometimes need a full day or more. Distance, elevator access, and packing volume all affect timing — your quote will include a realistic estimate.

What should I do before the movers arrive?

Keep documents, valuables, and daily essentials in a bag you’ll carry yourself. Empty and defrost the fridge the night before. If your building needs a permit, arrange it in advance. Everything else — packing, lifting, transport — is our job.

Can you move just some of my furniture, not the whole home?

Yes. Partial moves are common — a few large items to a new address, or moving some belongings into storage while the rest stays. Share the item list on WhatsApp and we’ll quote for exactly what you need.

What happens if something gets damaged during the move?

We’re an insured company and our crew packs specifically to prevent damage — padding, covers, and secure loading. In the rare case something goes wrong, report it to us immediately and we’ll address it.

Do you move homes from Dubai to other emirates?

Yes — Dubai to Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Ajman moves happen regularly, in both directions. The process is the same: survey or details, quote, pack, move, and setup at your new home. Distance is simply factored into your quote.
